Belarus was one of the hottest topics at the Partnership States-Central Europe Strategy Forum in Prague on 26-27 October 2011. Strategy makers, government officials and analysts tried to decide the Belarusian puzzle at a session called "Belarus at the Rim: Planning for Life After Lukashenka". 

The Forum speakers included Steven Korn, the President and CEO of the Announce Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Edward Lucas, the cosmopolitan editor of the Economist, the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic and numerous experts from both sides of the Atlantic. “Women have made tremendous strides in new decades and have become prominent leaders in upbringing, manipulation, athletics, responsibility and other expert disciplines. However, much remains to be done to about gender even-handedness in Ohio and across the world,” Governor Strickland said. “Thrust 2010 will anticipate an possibility for Ohioans to secure with each other and converse about ways to deposit the pre-eminence of women and girls across the federal.”

The Governor’s Department for Women’s Initiatives and Outreach and First Lady Strickland are hosting the forum on March 8, Cosmopolitan Women’s Day, at the Vern Riffe Center in Columbus.

“I look flip to a day of celebrating Ohio women and their accomplishments, as well as captivating a closer look at how we can further stiffen the power of women in today’s beau monde,” said First Lady Strickland.
