My at4040 microphone is connected to my Alesis MultiMix 8 USB mixer. How come my pc cannot detect my mic?

My microphone is connected into the Mic 1 input with a dragon cable. I connected the mixer into my pc through USB. My microphone requires hallucination power and I always turn on the phantom power on my mixer. I am using Audacity to annals and as I am
