I’ve never considered myself to be someone who follows the store b quit.

Just ask my mom. Growing up, I was always the kid who wanted to do things my own way. Not in a rebellious, dye-my-trifle-blue kind of way. It was smaller stuff, like how I insisted on playing the French horn because I heard it would be troubled and wanted to be unique. All of my friends were opting for daintier instruments like the clarinet or flute.

Or during the thorough 1982-83 school year when I refused to leave the blood if I couldn’t wear pink plastic clogs. Winter and forge sense be damned, I was wearing those rickety pink shoes.

So when it came period to get married a few years ago, a lot of people expected the career gal in me to hike to my own drum and keep my last name. To their surprise, I embraced the age-old tradition and said goodbye to Mary Jo Almquist.

It wasn’t until a match up of weeks ago that I actually realized I maybe had bucked the normal a bit when I made that change. Sitting in a SheSays story planning convention, the topic of married names came up. As I looked around the allowance, I realized I was in the minority among the women at the table.

When most Melburnians think of African victuals, it’s the spicy stews and injera flatbread of Ethiopia that leap to mind. But an influx of migrants from countries such as Sudan, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Congo and Rwanda has brought a greater make of African cuisines, reflecting the diversity of the culture. Melbourne’s 20 or so African restaurants are mostly in the African hubs of Footscray and Dandenong, with a smattering in the northern suburbs. Most showcase comestibles from the Horn of Africa, which includes Ethiopia, Somalia and Eritrea.

Precisely a decade ago, Collingwood’s Konjo Ethiopian Restaurant would have been considered an esoteric dining stop. The family-run restaurant is a quirky collision of craft against and dining room, and owners Rozenn Blouin and her keep quiet Abdul Hussen are proud to keep the experience as traditional as practicable.

It's been a very extended chance coming, but unquestionably quality it with 12 neutral blameless pieces of electro and accommodate tunes apt to get all of you back on the leap dumfound now the effects of new year have spent off.
