Ok so I'm information the Alto Sax. I'm actually learning it for my school jazz band. (my line director said that I could play it in jazz band)
All I have to do is learn some notes and everything. Is there any integrity links of the notes and the

LA Beat: Ladd McIntosh Big Band at Typhoon Restaurant

The McIntosh bunch personnel include: Jon Papenbrook, Stan Watkins, Tom Marino, Bob Summers, Chuck Howe (trumpets); Eric Jorgensen, George McMullen, Jason Thor, Rick Bullock (trombones); Fred Selden (alto sax and flute); Glen Garrett, (alto and soprano sax); Doug Webb (inference sax and tubax); Steve Marsh (tenor sax); Lee Secard, (bari sax);  Geoff Stradling  (piano); Adam Cohen (bass); Dick Weller (drums); Brian Kilgore (percussion); and Ladd McIntosh (conductor).  McIntosh writes everything in his bandeau’s book, either an original composition or a standard turn a blind eye to rearranged.  

Between the two shows of the evening, the ensemble played 17 selections covering several aspects of jazz. The famed “September Tune” began the first set, played easily and meaningfully by the society.  Tenor saxman Steve Marsh gave the first critical solo of the evening and then McMullen following on a beautiful trombone unaccompanied.  A rousing composition from McIntosh titled “Bumps” continued the first set and drove musically in a grooved set-up with solos by Marino (trumpet) and Webb (tenor sax). Next began a serene version of “Begin the Beguine.”  This outstanding gem moved quickly into wilder mode and trombonist Jorgensen filled the bill with an wonderful and completely unique solo. The band backed him to a tee and the audience loved it!
