What kind of MIDI USB cable do I need for Mac?

I have the latest Intel based iMac and would like to join my keyboard to it. Can I simply use a MIDI to USB cable or do I need a "sequencer"? I see that some cables only have 2 MIDI connectors & 1 USB while others have some warm of "lump"
