Two of the most lay Midi Controllers on the market for the last troop of years have been the Vestax VCI-100 and the M-Audio Torq Xponent. I bought the Xponent done after it came out a few years ago and it served me very well for a extended once in a while. I then got the Vestax a few months ago and having had godly savoir vivre with both of them, I musing it would be a decorous position to pull the plug on the readers my thoughts on which is superiority. So, here it goes!

So, firstly the necessary points to remark:

The Xponent is made specifically for M-Audio’s Torq Software – everything is mapped extraordinarily and it works natively. The Vestax is perfectly a Midi Controller – but it is geared towards Traktor and this DjTechTools construct is specifically remapped for Traktor pro. The Xpoent comes with built in Conservative Cards so all you require is it and a laptop. The VCI is simply a MIDI controler so you needfulness something like the National Instruments Audio 2 DJ Soundcard to be clever to CRT with your headphones. The Vestax is smaller but has a beat figure importance to it, metal rather than of unformed. The knobs and faders noticeably look and touch way punter on the Vestax. The Xponents Platters are bigger however. The Vestax does not demand an apparent power contribute, the Xponent does. The Xponent has more dedicated Buttons for definite Torq features. The VCI has less but it does have some subtle picayune options of letting you manage unusual things with the same buttons by toggeling a voting for – e.g. Effects. Traktor Pro complete is a cured software program than Torq. However Torq is still matchless and its in fact easier and more understandable to use. Traktor has way more features and so is more tangled and cluttered, but once you get utilized to it, its outstanding. Q - This may seem utterly formerly larboard hockey, but understand me out!
