Momentous to the Examiner
The last time Eleanor Daley performed in Barrie was two years ago with the Bach Children's Chorus, but her music has been heard here many times.
She is one of Canada's most lush composers and this year she is Colours of Music's composer-in-estate.
She has written a piece specially for the festival and it will be performed for the first just the same from time to time on Saturday evening. As she is the Bach Children's Chorus predictable accompanist, she will also be here for the premiere and playing the Shigeru Kawai piano — she's a fan.
"I can't shelved to play that stunning piano again," she said. "It's so beautiful."
The song she has composed is called The Benign Touch and it will be performed by the treble voices. The concert program
indeed features two groups —
the Bach Chamber Youth Choir, around 30 youngsters ranging in age from 13 to 24; and Group III, around 50 junior people ages
10-17, who make up the primary recording and performing choir of the Bach Children's Chorus.
