From the word go launched in 1998, Yamaha's Absolute Series has since become a catchword for top-nick excellent drums. Former to the 2009 NAMM show the index was affirmed a total upgrade.

Absolute Series kits can be ordered in either birch or maple with drums of each of the woods being hybrid across a kit as you solicit. In reckoning, a voice of two lug designs can be custom-made to each drum. We were sent a six-hell Birch Custom Absolute fa send off with Thoroughly Lugs along with a Birch Custom Absolute catch bespoke with rhythmical Absolute Lugs.

At NAMM, Yamaha introduced more exterior options across the Absolute Series. The criticism kit includes an all-new undrilled 22"x20" bass drum, while the 14" and 16" conquer toms are shallower than whilom models, coming in at 13" and 15" individually. The tom sizes are 10"x8", 12"x9" and 13"x10", though these diameters are also to hand an inch shorter in comprehensively.

The supplied 14"x6" seize has a unconstrained perfect, but it can be ordered in the same eye-communicable lacquer as the leisure of the kit. Under the lacquer and lug options lie shells that are almost indistinguishable to those found on Yamaha's traditional 9000 Recording Custom Series drums.

Made with Hokkaido birch from Northern Japan, the shells are 7-ply, 7mm thick for bass drums only and 6-ply, 6mm for all other drums. While the birch shells of 9000 Recording Custom Series drums play one-arrangement full-duration lugs, the two lug options for the Birch Custom Absolute are inbred in minimalism.

The quarterly Absolute Lug, featured on the first Absolute kits, remains unchanged and is a definitive archetype of a low mess lug that fixes to the exterior with a lone fly. The option - seen here on all of the drums except for the springe - is Yamaha's innovative Entirely Lug which is also found on the suite's dreamer PHX kits .

Hi everyone! My name is lux, drummer based out of Orange County, CA. My dad had bought me my first kit when I was twelve and I played on it until now. 12 years later I bought my own kit, stern resolve to thrive when picking stigmatize, wood, or even exterminate! Yikes! But it is a dreamboat and sounds remarkable! Here's a pic of the full setup. It's a Yamaha Absolute Series Maple kit with 2 rebound drums in 22"x18", 3 beleaguer toms in 10", 12" and 14" and two level toms in 16" and 18". It's a horror. All-inclusive, it's an unbelievable kit and it's a enormous tender-hearted buying my own kit, something I didn't get to sagacity until now.
