The disenthrall-flowing melodies and rhythms of modern jazz, civility of renowned area jazz artists Leslie Ford & Set, will fill the air at Temple B'nai Shalom in East Brunswick on Thursday, Oct. 27 as part of the Daniel Pearl Give birth to Music Days global celebration. The 8 p.m. concert is unfetter to the community.
Ford's performance will represent the eighth consecutive year that the Daniel Pearl Schooling Center has hosted an event to commemorate Daniel Pearl Superb Music Days, an international celebration marking the contributions to community and deftness of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter who was murdered by extremists while researching a allegation in Pakistan in 2002.
“Daniel Pearl World Music Days is a talented time for us to remember the universal message of community that is the legacy of the last Daniel Pearl,” said Dr. Andrew Boyarsky, chairman of the center's body. "Through his journalism and his love for music, Daniel saw opportunities to produce cultures and people together. The great thing about jazz is that top-drawer musicians, like Leslie Ford, can bring multiple instruments together to produce wonderful, inspiring music."
