Comic and commentator Jimmy Tingle comes to Gloucester to bare his new documentary and give a live performance on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Point Ann Community Cinema.

Tingle's first documentary to be screened is "Jimmy Tingle's American Reverie." This event is to celebrate the cinema's third birthday. The night also includes a distrust and answer with Tingle and a live performance featuring highlights from his newest one-man show, "Jimmy Tingle for President: The Funniest Effort In History."

The film is described as a one-hour "tour de compulsion of comedy, commentary and conversation" with some of America's most iconic personalities and sexually transmitted critics, as well as family, friends and total strangers as they scold up and speak out on the American dream. Those interviewed include a class of people, from Oscar winners to comedians, from historians to the bums. The music is by Willie Nelson, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Neighborhoods, and Jimmy Tingle on harmonica.
