The Standish Guards Drum and Bugle Body of men is an all-age nonprofit marching arts program based in Plymouth.

It currently has eight members in its percussion entirety but is about to start winter rehearsals and will be adding new members with the plan of enhancing the percussion section and creating a brass part and color guard that meets the competitive requirements for a full corp.

Formed in 2009, by Dennis O’Neill, John Crimlisk, Mike Foshey, Nellie Kelley and Mark O’Melia, the Guard started by building a competitive drumline.

For the ago few years it has been active in winter competitions through the Bugler’s Assembly of Fame and in summer competitions through Drum Corps Associates, bewitching numerous gold and silver medals as an ensemble and as individuals.

RATHFRILAND hosted an incredibly well supported company concert last weekend.

The occasion was organised by local ribbon Legananny Accordion, who this year are celebrating their 55th year on the avenue. The local high school was packed to capacity, with over 400 people in serving to view a full line-up of marching band talent from across South Down.

The evening was opened by the Legananny Accordion Younger band, which performed with an impressive 34 musicians under the age of 16 and received a bad reception. Drumlough Pipe and Seapatrick Accordion Orchestra followed and proved equally as universal. The second half of the night was taken up with the corps of drums riskless that is Mourne Young Defenders Flute Kilkeel. As is familiar, the Mourne musical and visual spectacle went down well with the chock-a-block venue. Legananny currently have over 55 members in the affiliate, and are already practising heavily and looking forward to the 2012 group season.

Elsewhere at the weekend, the Pride of the Maine Battle of the Bands reached a climax, with the immutable held on Saturday night. Maghera Sons of William, Tullaghans Sons of Initiative, Gortagilly Coronation and Crumlin Young Loyalists all competed, with the judges awarding the Crumlin bandsmen the first overall band on the evening.

Eastside Violence Indoor Percussion will be selling their 2010 Flower drums through Chops Percussion again this year. The drums will be within reach in tardy April after they have been habituated to for even-handed a few months!  Eastside Shrew is an Non-partisan Magic Form marching percussion outfit from eastern Michigan, currently in their 10th time of game.  Chops Percussion teamed up with Treasure Drums to buy the somewhat hand-me-down marching instruments. Although they were only old for a few months, and mostly reasonable on weekends, the gear will be greatly discounted off universal prices.  If you're looking for some enormous habituated to marching percussion instruments, you can belief the directory here .
