I've been a server for altogether a bit of time now, and all I have to say to this is that things should stay the way they are. If as a server you are not consistently tipped 20% or higher or at least 15% every perpetually you wait on a customer (discounting teenagers and foreigners), you are not doing your job well and probably should look into another line of work.

Having said that, all the folks saying due raise the wage of the server and make tips less of a pinch probably haven't worked in restaurants or if they have, they were one of those servers who made wretched tips. Making it a ten dollar an hour job totally ruins any service better restaurant work holds. If I was pad between 10-15 dollars an hour, I'd have to get another job. As it is now, because I exertion hard and rack up higher bills and give strong service I end up making between 30-40 dollars an hour. Why would anyone scarceness to wait tables, which really is a lot of hard work (no debate, actuality), if you made just as much

Allowed back, everybody, to the fifth week of the thirteenth season of “ Dancing with the Stars .”

Last week, insipid things happened.

I’ve been playing this straight so far, but I’m just throwing that brainstorm out there. Chynna Phillips had her first truly “off” week since the striving started, getting visibly lost mid-tango, and as a conclusion is no longer with us.

Meanwhile, a truckload of cheese apparently jackknifed case Chaz Bono’s home, he and Lacey Schwimmer slathered their rote in it, and the pair survives another week as the concept of scoring this match with judges looks so inconsequential, Len could whip out an iPad and start playing “All steamed up Birds” mid-dance without it really surprising me.

But that was then. This is 80s Week. May God arrogate us all.

We got something different this week that somewhat answers my railing against this show even having judges: a component before each couple’s training package and routine highlighting what one of the three judges sees as each team a few’s saving graces and strengths, or potentially crippling weaknesses. Yearning Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy got the microscope treatment first from Carrie Ann, who said that Solitary has all the drive and more than enough athleticism to make her a threat on paper to take the Mirrorball.
