The Karns Drunk School Marching Band has dozens of members from their school and a join from the Middle School down the street.

Assistant Band Director Jimbo Crawford explains, "One of the things we do here, we depose over middle school kids to participate in the high group stuff. We can go over and talk to the middle schoolers about how cool consequential school band is, whereas if I bring Eli over here, he soaks up some high school band, goes back and talks to some of his buddies about how much fun he's having. It's the most successfully recruiting tool we have."

A total of five middle school students are in the band or color security guard. It's a tradition they want to continue.

One of the middle school students playing in the exhilarated-school band is Eli Henry. He started playing the drums at home but plays keyboards for the band.

Postpositive major band member Jordan Morrell, "He's in 8th grade and he's keeping up with all of these other important-schoolers. Like he can do some things that they can't. It's a great way to reach out to people that are on the sidestep or younger people that are trying to get into band."
