Durch seine Größe lässt sich das SamplePad laut Hersteller vielseitig einsetzen: auf der Bühne als Erweiterung bestehender Drumracks, im Studio als kompakte E–Percussion-Einheit oder als Controller. Das große hintergrundbeleuchtete Exhibition soll die Suche und Bearbeitung von Sounds erleichtern. Die Verbindung zur Außenwelt stellt das SamplePad über zwei 6,3-mm-Klinkenausgänge her, ein lautloser Betrieb ist aufgrund des implementierten Kopfhöreranschlusses ebenfalls möglich.
