Kelly Peterson, who was married to the pianist from 1986 until his quick, recalls that at the concert, people “didn’t truly know what to think. Some of them were quite enthralled; others thought, ‘Boy, that sounds like Oscar!’ and they weren’t moderately sure that it was really him. And it’s kind of eerie to see the piano [playing] and no one sitting there.”

Zenph’s technology is a quantum upswing from the player piano. “There’s a great deal of richness in the come near with which one plays the piano,” says Walker, “and if you’re a undeniably skilled artist, [Zenph] can get millions of levels out of each patch up.” In March 2007, Walker brought a Yamaha Disklavier Pro (a piano with a demeanour-reproducing system) into the Petersons’ home so Oscar could consent Zenph’s recreation of recordings by Art Tatum, his piano-playing man of the hour. “As he came into the room,” says Kelly, “he got tears in his eyes, and he was looking around for Art Tatum.” As a stupefaction, Walker’s team also re-performed one of Peterson’s own recordings.

Aksel Kolstad er etterhvert en internasjonalt kjent pianist og komponist.  I 2008 fullførte han sin mastergrad ved Musikkhøyskolen i George Gershwins musikk.  Han står også bak Café de Concert i Oslo.  Café de Concert er et konsept med klassiske konserter på kafé, som han startet med i 2003.  I 2009 mottok konseptet støtte fra Innovasjon Norge og ble etablert i faste lokaler i tidligere Café Frølich.  Kolstad har også vært knyttet til Vinterfestspillene på Røros og har den siste tiden kombinert klassisk musikk og stand-up.  Han hadde sin debutkonsert i Carnegie Passage for et år siden.

Kolstad var i år med på Sjøbygdafestivalen og hadde et opphold på Sjøbygda Kunstnarhus etter festivalen.  Det benyttet han bl.a. til å komponere to nye verker for piano.

I tilbakemeldingen etter oppholdet skriver Kolstad bl.a.: "Å være klassisk musiker på Sjøbygdafestivalen rokker ved urmennesket i kunstneren. Omgivelsene er idylliske, trolske, ja nesten litt skumle fra tid til annen når man er mutters alene uti den amass skogen kun med en stor innsjø som sin nærmeste nabo. Men fra havets dyp og skogens indre puls stiger en kunstnerisk åre ut av ryggmargen min hvor jeg sitter i det gamle klasserommet med et splitter nytt yamaha flygel av ypperste klasse og lar musikken fosse. Jeg skrev to nye verk for unaccompanied klaver under oppholdet mitt i storstua etter en fantastisk gala day."
