Radiohead has always been an indefinable group. Somehow, they always find a way to sidestep the conventional, whether it's by releasing risky albums or springing announcements of 'No concerts on their rabid fan base, which is precisely what they did last week.

After months of allied silence from the band following the release of their most recent full-for ages c in depth album, "The King of Limbs"in January, Radiohead awakened from its slumber, during a "takeover" of New York Burgh. Beginning with an appearance on Saturday Night Live last weekend, the British bracket continued with appearances on a special hour-long copy of The Colbert Report before playing two shows on Sept. 28 and 29 at the Roseland Ballroom, a venue that only holds around 3,000 people. Expendable to say, simply obtaining a ticket to the Sept.28 show took a bit of plan and a lot of luck, along with the privileged knowledge of an unadvertised presale through the Radiohead fan league together.

Never a stranger to controversy, Radiohead was criticized for using the much-maligned Ticketmaster as a distributer, which owns the rights to carry tickets for the Roseland Ballroom. Many fans were shut out from the vending, as they were placed in digital "waiting rooms" only to be told the show was sold out. This created some frustration among fans, who complained of scalpers buying up tickets consideration a "two per household" maximum.
