TowneBank, which expanded its Towne Bond Agency with a series of acquisitions in Hampton Roads, has agreed to receive Stanton Taylor Agency, an insurance agency based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Stanton Taylor Intercession's insurance and risk management professionals provide a ample scope of insurance services throughout Raleigh and eastern North Carolina.

TowneBank chairman and CEO Robert Aston said they are over the moon to welcome Stanton Taylor Agency to the Towne Family. The blue blood and professionalism of the Stanton Taylor staff will allow them to expand the services on tap to their bank and insurance clients.

Stanton Taylor Agency president Paul Simson said TowneBank's sharply defined unclear on relationships and community spirit fits perfectly with their aplomb of superb personal service to their clients.

Towne Assurance Agency was formed in 2001 and since then TowneBank has acquired seven other agencies during the before decade, including W.T. Chapin of Newport News earlier this year and the Taylor Johnson Series of Virginia Beach in 2010.

ESTHERVILLE - Obsequies services for Marian Louise (Stanton) Clark, 87, of Estherville will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Joint Methodist Church in Estherville with Pastor Lynn Elrod officiating. Pestilence will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at her at ease in Estherville.

Marian was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Alhambra, Calif., to Myron and Clara (Paddock) Stanton. She done up her childhood years learning trick riding on her pony, swimming and playing with her small sister Helen (Stanton) Dean in Spencer. She graduated from Spencer Intoxication in 1941 and studied home economics at Iowa Style University. She married Merrill Chilton Clark of Terrill on Sept. 9, 1943, in Kansas Megalopolis, Mo. Merrill was a lieutenant navigator in the Army Air Corps during Humanity War II; after the war, Merrill and Marian moved to Florida where he attended University of Miami Law Opinion and enjoyed exploring the Keys. They then returned to Iowa, where Merrill practiced law for 30 years. Marian and Merrill had three children: one son and two daughters.
