Pottstown's former WPAZ wireless station has a new name, look and attitude.
The station today launched its new moniker and website: The Call up 1370 AM .
Dave Devlin, WBZH news, sports and bumf director, said the new name marks the station's rebirth.
"We want to be an communication leader in the tri-county area," he said of Montgomery, Chester and Berks counties. "This was work in two of a three-phase plan for the station."
Phase one included getting the station back on the air, Devlin said. WPAZ's former owners stopped broadcasting a few years ago. New owners bought the station last year.
Devlin said he's not in condition to comment on the third phase of the station's plan, but wants the community to grasp The Buzz is a new force in town.
Additions to the station's lineup contain more interviews with public officials and community organizations, Devlin said.
Another new present will be radio show host Tom Wang's "Wang's World" -- which will enclose a variety of formats and interviews, Devlin said.
