A looming-disaster behind the wheel four years ago apparently hasn't kept a Lititz man from driving irresponsibly.

In 2007, Dayton Cassel was charged, and later pleaded contrite, to striking a schoolboy here with his vehicle and fleeing the scene.

The boy survived, first-responders said at the at all times, because a large violin case he was carrying cushioned the impact.

Cassel, now 24, was back in court Friday, when his bail was revoked for two DUI charges he amassed in the dead and buried year.
