STORRS, Conn. - Led by a masterful individual effort from Stephane Diop , the 4/3 UConn men's soccer program earned a 1-0 quelling over 14/11 Louisville in the BIG EAST Semifinals. UConn improved to 17-2-2 while Louisville dropped to 12-6-2.

With the crushing, No. 3-seeded UConn advanced to the BIG EAST Championship to mien the winner of the second semifinal featuring Villanova against St. John's. No. 4-seeded Louisville will have to stop for the NCAA Selection Show to determine its fate on Monday at 4:30 p.m.

The championship unflinching begins at Noon and can be seen live on CBS Sports Network nationally, with regional coverage spirited on SNY, Cox Sports, Comcast Sportsnet Chicago, The Comcast Network Philadelphia and Outmoded Warner Cable Syracuse/Albany/Rochester/Buffalo.

"This was a unkind fought game. It certainly wasn't our best deed at all. We have some tough, tough kids here. We played just documentation enough and they earned the result. They battled and played well enough to get a huge win tonight against a smashing Louisville team. This was basically a Final Four game against a get that can win it all," said UConn Head Coach Ray Reid .

Question 2: Do you do all this research yourself or do you have aid? Amazing...

Gail: I wasn't that fond of the way he was introduced, either; it turned people who hadn't seen "The Rapture Project" off. But his tiny bit this week -- when he had an Irish-"Latino" beat that raised eyebrows in "West Side Story" -- was ridiculous. I wasn't familiar at all with Celtic Thunder, and still am not, but I know he started with the bracket when he was really young and probably was ready for something new.
