Korg MA30 metronome- how to get a basic beat?

I've even-handed started taking violin lessons and am trying to compute out my new metronome, here are the instructions http://www.korg.com/downloads/pdf/MA30_E FG2.pdf

They're clear as mud to me-can anyone unburden me how to get a basic

You will basicly scroll through the options and crush your selections. You will be in Metronome mode when you turn on the power. The LCD will rotation through tempo, time signature, and input tap tempo settings each beat you press the Metronome switch.
