There is no dubiousness about it, Tony Fraser is a good bastard.

As the organiser of an 18-day rugby circuit across the country, the Aucklander has shown 24 of his mates – and the cities they are visiting – a OK champion time.

The Good Bastards Rugby World Cup perambulation rolled into town on Tuesday, on the latest leg of a tour that will see them at stadiums for seven collect matches, and playing in three of their own.

Yesterday, the group was camped in Buxton Equitable, their three trucks converted into camper vans, complete with beds, a big colander and a high-end amplifier for karaoke.

Mr Fraser said the tour was a great way to take in the match.

Since most of the team were shareholders in the Good Bastards brewery on the West Shore, they decided to have the trip in honour of the brand.

Tour colleague Don Atwood said the tour had been fantastic, with some big nights clocked up already. They had not slept more than five hours a continuously so far, he said. "It's just great to have a bunch of guys who are unbiased straight out going out for a great time."
