Ithaca local and people musician Joe Crookston set the tone for the show during his opening act. Stomping his feet while stomping out tangled timing on his acoustic guitar, Crookston encouraged the audience to sing along. Along with delightful stories behind each song, performances of “Good Accident John” and “Fall Down As The Rain” were well received by the audience and provided a velvety transition into the next act.

Peter Yarrow was greeted with applause as he casually strolled onto the stratum, making the audience laugh with a few good-natured pokes at the platform crew. He wasted no time starting his set with a rendition of “This Thimbleful Light of Mine,” encouraging the audience to sing. Stepping to the very front of the fake, Peter sung the chorus without a microphone, his powerful verbalize audible over the audience. It became clear immediately that he would not leave Ithaca without leaving a streak on the State Theatre.
